About the Role

This is a paid internship designed to support recent graduates in Gaza during these challenging times. You will contribute to AweenRayeh, a high-impact application providing live road updates for Palestinian cities. This role is specifically designed to help you bridge the gap between university and a professional career.

Internship Focus

The project utilizes React Native for the mobile frontend and Supabase as a "Backend-as-a-Service." You will work on:

  • Adding features, fixing bugs, and implementing improvements for the mobile application.
  • Integrating location-based data and maps to provide accurate, real-time updates.
  • Managing data flows between the application and the Supabase backend.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: A recently completed degree (BS or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Core Knowledge: Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and software logic.
  • Commitment: Ability to dedicate the necessary hours to the project, with flexibility for local infrastructure challenges.
  • Mobile or Web Experience: Prior experience in mobile development (React Native or similar frameworks) or at least web development (JavaScript and React), gained through university projects, personal initiatives, or equivalent learning.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Familiarity with React Native: Any exposure to React Native is a plus but not required.
  • Backend and Database Basics: Basic understanding of how applications interact with APIs or databases.
